Repetition is sooo important! Always remember that preschool age children (especially 3 & 4 year olds) benefit tremendously from repetition. In the same way that reading your child’s favorite books over and over again is incredibly helpful for reading comprehension skills, consistently practicing gymnastics skills your child works on in class at home is very beneficial. When children work on their skills, jumps and drills at home as well as in class they learn them much faster and also enjoy showing you what they’re learning in class!
Some examples of skills and jumps that are safe to practice at home with your child are: · Somersaults · Tuck Jumps · Straddle Jumps · Spin Jumps · Tip Toe Walks · Kick Walks
-If you have any questions about helping your children with gymnastics at home please feel free to ask your child’s coach!
